- Director of Facilities & Maintenance
Description
This leadership role plans, organizes, staffs, directs, coordinates, and evaluates all maintenance, custodial services, grounds, and facilities operations. It also oversees capital improvement and renovation projects, including reviewing project specifications and monitoring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and progress. The position ensures school facilities are maintained to standards of operational excellence, cleanliness, and safety, and supervises and evaluates maintenance, grounds, and custodial staff.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Washington State driver’s license
Ability to communicate effectively, possess awareness of self and others, listen actively, be patient, incorporate humor/lightheartedness into work, be empathic, possess a growth mindset, and be customer-service oriented
Ability to support the District’s vision, mission, goals, and Culture Code including the belief that all students can succeed
Reliable, responsible, and honest
Successful experience in custodial and/or maintenance services
Willingness to learn and grow
Ability to problem solve
Ability to maintain a positive attitude
Ability to build and maintain positive, effective relationships with staff
Ability to be an effective, efficient leader with distinguished interpersonal skills
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or technical or college coursework
Experience in a leadership and/or supervisory position
Experience in school custodial and/or maintenance services
