Job overview and responsibilities

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Provide oversight of a high functioning matrix team of maintenance program engineers within the technical operations department. This role would manage day-to-day activities, project assignments and effectively utilize available resources in support of the organization's responsibilities and strategic initiatives. The position must have knowledge of technical aspects like design and optimization of aircraft maintenance programs. This position will play a key role in facilitating coordination among the larger Maintenance Programs teams to ensure the team meet department objectives.

• Work within Matrix Organization to supervise a team of 10+ Engineers, including coordinating scope of responsibilities, managing workload and ownership amongst team members, and defining and tracking team metrics.
• Act as interface with both US and India maintenance programs teams to develop coordinated maintenance programs strategies and its implementation.
• Drive review of processes for identification of areas of optimization to increase team
  throughput.
• Focus on professional growth and development of team members to achieve team goals and departmental goals.
• As needed work with senior leadership on hiring the right talent for the maintenance programs team.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology or B.S Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aviation or other related technical field.
• At least 8 years of related experience with at least 2 years of leading a dynamic team.
• Working knowledge of maintenance programs concepts, policies, procedures, including packaging and task cards.
• Experience leading cross functional projects including aspects multiple end user impact
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
• Strong presentations skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Knowledge of Boeing Toolbox.
• Experience with management of data frames or big data handling capabilities.
• Basic to Advanced level of SQL, Python or PySpark language.
• Master of Engineering or M.S in Engineering preferably in Aviation or other related technical field or Masters of Business Administration.
