Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Master Scheduler to own and drive our integrated production schedule. In this pivotal role, you will be the central hub for all planning activities, transforming customer demand and material availability into a feasible, optimized manufacturing plan. Your expertise will be critical in balancing capacity, on-time delivery, and inventory levels to ensure our production floor operates with maximum efficiency and our customers receive their high-quality electronic assemblies as promised. You will be working "clear to build plans" with the planning team and "Push/Pull/Cancel" suggestions with Purchasing.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling:

- Convert customer demand (orders and forecasts) into a detailed, time-phased build plan for Circuit Card Assembly.
- Perform rough-cut capacity planning to identify potential bottlenecks in key resources, including SMT lines, through-hole, test, and conformal coat.
- Release and manage daily/weekly work orders to the production floor, prioritizing jobs based on due dates, material availability, and capacity constraints.
Supply Chain & Material Integration:
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement and Materials teams to ensure the schedule aligns with material requirements and lead times.
- Monitor and track material availability (components, PCB substrates, etc.) to proactively identify and resolve potential shortages that could impact the production schedule.
- Understand and account for the implications of long-lead-time and allocated components in the planning process.
Execution & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead the weekly Production & Scheduling Meeting, facilitating cross-functional dialogue between Sales, Program Management, Production, and Procurement.
- Monitor schedule adherence and production output, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery, Schedule Attainment, and Manufacturing Cycle Time to measure performance and drive improvements.
- Identify and lead initiatives to optimize scheduling processes, reduce lead times, and improve inventory turns.
Communication & Issue Resolution:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for schedule-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
- Proactively communicate schedule risks, changes, and potential delays to management and customer-facing teams.
- Evaluate the impact of engineering changes, expedites, and unplanned events, and rapidly re-plan to minimize disruption.
Qualifications & Experience

- Proven expertise in capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex data analysis.
Preferred:
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is highly desirable.
- Direct experience with the unique challenges of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing, including an understanding of SMT processes, test cycles, and component management.
- Experience in a contract manufacturing (CM) or job shop environment.
