We are looking for a Project Manager Sustainability (m/f/d) to join our BMI Technical Center in Heusenstamm as soon as possible in full-time employment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Go-to-Expertise: Act as the central point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for sustainability across the entire company
• LCA & EPD Management: Perform the products life cycle analysis and manage the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for all technologies within BMI
• Data Coordination: Collect and coordinate relevant environmental data in close collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement
• Tool Usage & Approval: Conduct calculations using LCA tools, introduce new tools as needed, and cooperate with external reviewers for third-party approval
• Customer Support: Consolidate environmental data for customer inquiries and Green Building Labels (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, HQ)
• Knowledge Transfer: Design and lead internal and external training sessions on sustainability and circular economy
• External Representation: Represent BMI in relevant national and international bodies and organizations
• Standards Overview: Create and maintain an overview of national and EU-wide sustainability norms and standards
• Strategic Consulting: Support innovation projects focusing on ecological improvements and provide environmental advice to architects, roofers, and internal sales staff.

Your Profile:

• High degree education (Engineer of University equivalent)
• Experience in LCA/Life cycle analysis management and EPD creation, ideally in the building sector
• Fluent in English
• Mastery of Life cycle analysis tools (Gabi, Simapro) is an advantage
• Good level in excel and/or Google sheets
• Knowledge in roofing, waterproofing or in building products would be appreciated
• High level of customer-orientedness

• Ability to adapt new methods and instruments
• Good interpersonal skills and stakeholders management (working with various departments)
• Good and clear communicator: able to convince at all levels
• Ability to work under high pressure
• Ability to deal with conflicts in a constructive manner
• Strong IT skills especially spreadsheets
• Travel 10% of the time
