Your mission
At 1KOMMA5°, we connect and manage distributed energy devices at scale. Our IoT Platform Team powers the fleet of 1k5 gateways - the core of our energy management solution. We're looking for a Product Manager to shape the future of this platform and ensure our devices are reliable, secure, and scalable.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Own and drive the technical roadmap for our IoT solution powering thousands of gateways in the field.
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks, ensuring that teams are working efficiently to meet project milestones.
- Foster communication between teams, including developers, product managers, and external partners, to ensure everyone is aligned and moving towards common objectives.
- Cover domains such as IoT connectivity services, gateway OTA updates, device security, and hardware integration.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team on gateway hardware design, BOM management, and certification processes.
Other responsibilities include:
- Managing the expectations and requirements of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.
- Analyzing and testing potential features with developers, making data-driven decisions based on KPIs and market analyses.
- Iterative Development & Data Use: Highlight responsibilities around leveraging user feedback and analytics throughout the product lifecycle, fostering continuous improvement and pivoting features based on insights.
- Crafting precise user stories and structuring development workflows according to SCRUM methodology to ensure efficient delivery processes.
- Regularly presenting project progress to maintain transparency and keep all stakeholders informed.
- Ensuring that projects are documented, well-coordinated, and regularly updated for transparency and progress tracking.
Your profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Several years of experience as a Product Manager, in product management, ideally with exposure to IoT platforms, embedded systems, or energy management solutions.
- Familiar with cloud-to-edge technologies, IoT solutions or HEMS systems, OTA update frameworks, and gateway security technologies.
- Proven expertise in managing timelines, addressing bottlenecks, and fostering seamless collaboration across multiple departments.
- A proactive mindset and a true team player, willing to go the extra mile to ensure the success of your product.
- Proficiency in standard digital project and product management tools such as Linear (or Jira), Figma, Miro, or Power-BI, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, making it easy for you to connect and collaborate effectively across the organization
- Very strong written and spoken English skills, German is a plus
Bonus points for:
- Experience scaling IoT fleets in production.
- Experience in B2C end-customers environment.
- Experience in renewables/energy sector.
