This position is in Cargill's agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Shift(s) Available:Rotating (1st Shift: 7am-3pm / 2nd Shift:3pm-11 pm / 3rd Shift: 11pm- 7am)
Compensation: $ 25.05/Hr

- Principal Accountabilities- Operating equipment associated with the loadout and unloading process for grain including trucks, railcars, utilizing scales, pumps, and conveyors, etc
- Complete various tasks including switching rail cars, operating locomotives, rail pit unloading, and housekeeping
- Monitor equipment, complete pre-use daily inspections, independently solve simple problems while escalating more complex issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Rotate through all positions within the specified utility operator department
- Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
 
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Excel
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Forklift experience
- Experience in a production and/or similar military environment
- Railcar experience
