Raikes School of Computer Science and Management in partnership with the College of Engineering, College of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) invite applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice, beginning August 15, 2022. The Raikes School is a residential undergraduate honors program integrating the teaching of computing and management.

The position is a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track, career-oriented position supporting the Raikes School. The initial appointment for this teaching-focused position is for a term of up to three years, with the opportunity for future multi-year renewals.

The new faculty member, in addition to course instruction, will lead several of these teams.

The university is located in Lincoln, NE, the third largest of the Big-10 cities, and the locus of the “silicon prairie.” Lincoln, population 290,000, was recently named one of the top five emerging entrepreneurial hot spots in America by Entrepreneurship Magazine and received Google’s 2013 E-City Award for its strong online business community. Lincoln offers the attractions and entertainment opportunities of a metropolitan area and is ranked the #1 best city for new jobs by Forbes; a #2 highest quality of life ranking by The Huffington Post; and a #4 ranking in Children’s Health magazine’s listing of best places to raise a family.
