Description

Direct and lead the engineering team to process the unique material of PolyCharge NanoLam capacitor technology requiring equipment for current capacitor technologies (film capacitors) to be significantly modified to ensure continued improvement in reliability and throughput using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management. Specification and design of production equipment including a large multi-million-dollar vacuum chamber designed to deposit the thin films of alternating organic (polymer) and inorganic (aluminum) layers that form the building blocks of the NanoLam capacitor technology using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition Systems Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management. Work with vendors to design test equipment applicable to PolyCharge NanoLam products using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Design & Manufacture; and Plant Management. Primary driver of all process developments, changes and troubleshooting for all steps in the capacitor production line, including transitioning a pilot production process to full production capable of supplying Tier 1 and OEM automotive customers using a proprietary vacuum deposition and coating process using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management. Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, managing and leading a team of engineers to support the production of the NanoLam capacitors using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management. Assist in determining the locations of new facilities and will be instrumental in the design and layout of the new facilities for optimum workflow and ensure services (power, water, etc.) are correctly located and of sufficient capacity using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management. Review operations and confer with technical or engineering staff to resolve production or processing problems using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management. Optimize operational costs and productivity consistent with safety and environmental rules and regulations and prepare reports on operations and system productivity and efficiency using the knowledge of Vacuum Deposition System Design; Capacitor Equipment Design & Manufacture; and Engineering Management.



Requirements

The education/research and experience requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering and three years of experience in engineering management. In addition, using the knowledge Vacuum Deposition Design; Capacitor Design & Manufacture; and Plant Management is required to be able to perform the responsibilities of the position, and are common to the occupation. They are not restrictive requirements.
