Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer to design and develop fire protection sprinkler systems in compliance with applicable codes and project requirements. The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for accurate shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material submittals. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities-
Design & Drafting:
Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs using software such as Revit and AutoSprink.
Design Fire Sprinkler Systems to meet the requirements of the AHJ, State Building Codes, and NFPA Standards.
Hydraulically calculate fire protection systems using the most recent hydraulics software.
Review and Interpret Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Civil Drawings.
Project Management & Coordination:
Manage all aspects of the project design from conception to completion.
Coordinate fire sprinkler projects using the latest 3D BIM modeling software and techniques such as Navisworks.
Collaborate with project teams during the construction phase to resolve design issues and provide technical support.
Communicate with MEP contractors and General Contractors for final design coordination
Prepare submittal packages including permit drawing sets, material & equipment manuals, and final As-Built drawings.
Stock list/Order all material for sprinkler systems from the completed/coordinated designs for fabrication and on time delivery.
Field & Technical Support:
Perform field surveys, water flow tests, job site visits, and gather feedback from the field to aid in design/installation accuracy.
Assist Sales/Estimating team with preliminary site surveys, hydraulic calculations, pricing change orders, reviewing RFIs, estimating design labor on projects, and design technical support.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Fire Sprinkler Design (3-5 years experience minimum required). Formal Education in Engineering preferred, but not required. Nicet Certification (any level) in Water Based Systems Layout.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoSprink, and Navisworks.
