It’s Work That Matters.

Position Summary: The Industrial Engineer is responsible for providing integrative consultation services encompassing strategic, clinical, and/or operational improvement initiatives of the organization ensuring successful and sustainable project outcomes by applying effective application of industrial/systems engineer solutions. Performs as a change agent leading organizational transformation of advanced and new knowledge leveraging principles of industrial/systems engineers that improves quality care outcomes, enhance safety for patients and staff. This position requires specialized expertise in the body of knowledge, methods, and skills related to Industrial/Systems Engineer including but not limited to project management, Lean/Six Sigma tools, change management/culture change tools/approaches, and benchmark, operational and financial analysis and integrative human/system interfaces design with clinical information systems to support optimal workflows. This position will provide support to the overarching goals of the Quality Improvement Patient Safety pillars including patient safety, performance improvement, regulatory, data management and infection prevention. This position will require the ability to engage diversely with clinical and non-clinical leaders/staff, to quickly identify areas of need, and tailor solutions to the unique challenges.


Minimum Qualifications/Education: 5 years of solid progressive experience including 3 years clinical experience as an engineer in healthcare environment (with Bachelor's) or 3 years of solid progressive experience including 2 years clinical experience as an engineer in healthcare environment (with Master's Degree); 3 years of involvement in multiple large cross functional teams. Clinical and or hospital operations experience preferred.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
