The American University of the Middle East (AUM) was licensed in 2005 and started operation in 2008 with the vision of being a premier icon of quality higher education and development in Kuwait, the region and working towards global positioning.
AUM has a holistic learner-centered approach, where students acquire all the necessary knowledge and characteristics being taught by outstanding multi-cultural faculty members from leading international universities, who will develop the students' critical thinking, identities and build their characters to become successful individuals and a well-rounded professionals and entrepreneurs. The process is realized through the integration of faculty, learning facilities and outreach centers. AUM encourages innovative teaching methodologies, and creates a stimulating environment for academic research and publication.
AUM's affiliation with Purdue University includes areas related to curriculum development, academic and administrative systems, quality assurance, observance of accreditation standard, and other related areas. AUM is licensed by Private Universities Council according to Amiree decree No 304 in the Year 2005 to offer programs in Business, Medicine, Health Sciences, Technology, Human Services, Science, Arts & Education. AUM is also affiliated with University of Calgary in Canada to establish the College of Medicine at AUM and a University hospital.
AUM currently offers undergraduate degree programs in:

AUM offers a two-year MBA program with specializations in Financial Management, Islamic Finance, Leadership & Organization Behavior and Human Resources.
Our Campus is located in a progressively attractive developed estate in Kuwait - the Egaila Area. The AUM campus will be stretching over a well-developed greenery of land and state-of-the-art facilities in an area of 75000 Sq.m. The campus is being designed and developed according to recent and future trends of space planning and programs by being flexible and addressing both academic and social needs.
