The IFA Group is a rapidly growing automotive supplier. Drive shafts and joints are our core business. We are in the top 3 of the world's largest propshaft manufacturers. IFA delivers to all major manufacturers in Europe, Asia and North America.
In addition to our headquarters in Haldensleben (Saxony-Anhalt) we are in sales, development or production in Stuttgart, Sangerhausen (Germany), Novi (USA), Charleston (USA), Shanghai (China) and Ujazd (Poland) in the largest automotive markets World represented.
Our customers are the leading suppliers of four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive vehicles. These vehicles dominate the premium class. We offer our customers close to competent contact persons for sales, project management, development, testing, quality assessment and production. We are where our customers need us.
The requirements of the customers are systematically determined and exchanged worldwide. Our platform development develops solutions for every task with the help of the leading simulation tools. The customer application, the testing and the launchteams of the plants implement the solutions in the markets of the customers.
Company History
IFA has been developing and producing drive shafts for vehicles in Haldensleben for almost 60 years. The entrepreneurial tradition of the current owner family of Nathusius in the region, however, goes back about 200 years.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
IFA in Haldensleben was founded in 1959 in the former German Democratic Republic, to supply propeller shafts to East German industry. After the fall of the Berlin wall, Heinrich von Nathusius privatized the firm. By 2017 it was the second largest propeller shaft producer in the world with 3 000 associates on three continents.
